Download Microsoft Authenticator
Download the Microsoft Authenticator app from the App Store, or Google Play, on your phone. When opening the app after installation, click "Allow Notifications".
MFA Setup
- On your computer, go to outlook.office365.com and login.
When you receive a pop up asking for more information for logging in,
follow the onscreen instructions (also below) from your computer.
- Sign in with your MBC email address and password.
Then click “Next” on the following screens.
3. When you see the below QR code appear on your computer screen, open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone. Touch the "+" symbol to add a new account, select "Work or School Account", then touch “Scan a QR code”, and then scan the QR code displayed on your computer screen.
4. After Scanning the QR code, touch “Approve” on your phone, and “Next” in your computer browser.
All done! You’re now using the Authenticator app to acknowledge it is you trying to log in to your account. When you log into any O365 application or website you will be presented with the following notifications on your mobile device running the authenticator app. Simply click “Approve” and the login process will complete. IMPORTANT: Do not click Approve if you didn’t initiate the login. If you experience this, please contact IT immediately.
